Our powermeter of the month November is our lightweight option for Easton EC90 SL cranksets: NG Road Easton 4-SL powermeter.
Weight powermeter: 126g
Weight crankset: 351g
These are the facts about our lightest road powermeter and the fitting crankset. Our NG powermeter for Easton’s EC90 SL crankset has the option to go “light”. 110 4-SL stands for Shimano’s asymetric 4-bolt 110mm BCD in the light version. While our regular 110 4-S powermeter for Shimano chainrings weighs 156g, the SL version saves another 30g. In combination with Easton’s crankset this is currently the lightes option for power2max road powermeters.
The NG powermeter
The NG is our top-of-the-line powermeter and is tested individually by one one of our colleagues on the dynamic test bench. This individual testing can take up to one hour but assures highest quality standards and utmost precision of +/-1%. Advanced cycling parameters like left-right balance and pedal smoothness are already included into the NG powermeter and it comes with an internal and rechargable battery. An extended warranty of 5 years for the NG Easton powermeter is also available.
chainrings
The powermeter can fit Shimano 11-speed and 12-speed chainrings and any other chainrings that uses Shimano’s asymetric 110mm 4-bolt BCD. Oval chainrings are supported, too. The 110 4-S and the 4-SL are our most versatile BCDs because they allow you to use 1x and 2x setups as well as 50/34 well as 54/40 or even bigger chainrings.
The Easton EC 90SL crankset
Eastons EC90 SL crankset technology was derived from Race Face’s MTB crankset technology. Therefore the crankset uses a direct mount technology that makes it easy to use a power2max powermeter. The crankset is build to be light and stiff.
Availability
Availability has become a big issue in the bike industry, but luckely our NG Easton powermeters are available and ready to be ordered. Additionally, the Easton EC 90SL cranksets are also available in all crank length from most cycling parts dealers like bike24 or bike-components.
